Events

Alongside the exhibition Unravelling Uppark, a number of the artists that have been commissioned in the exhibition will be running talks and workshops. The Friday events take place when house is not open to the public and ticket prices include a private tour of the exhibition and refreshments.

Places are strictly limited and early booking is recommended.

Friday 3rd October 2014 Drawing with wire workshop with Agnes Jones

Friday 10th October 2014, 12pm - 2pm. Amy, Emily, Emma: Four Times of Day, illustrated talk with filmmaker Jini Rawlings.

Based on Vernet's paintings Four Times of Day enjoy a talk and tour of the exhibition and house with the artist. Jini will delve into the research and inspiration behind this fascinating installation and the characters involved.

Friday 17th October 2014 Seeing Sound workshop with artist Simon Ryder

Reflecting his installation Simon will show you how to become aware of the soundscape around you and then translate it using pen and paper. Choose between a workshop at 10am - 12pm or 2pm - 4pm.

Friday 31st October 2014 House of Eloi illustrated talk with textile artist Alice Kettle and Helen Felcey.

Alice and Helen will give an illustrated talk on the collaborative process, research and techniques used to produce the HG Wells inspired installation, House of Eloi

There will also be two opportunities to view the exhibition with the curators from Unravelled.
